INTRODUCTION
우리는 하루의 대부분을 반복되는 공간과 행동 속에서 보낸다.
카페에서 커피를 주문하고, 노트북을 열고, 잠시 머물다 이동하는 일상은 특별한 사건 없이 흘러가며 하나의 배경처럼 인식된다.
〈OBJECTS OF THE DAY〉는 현대인들의 생활 방식에 가장 밀접한 환경인 카페와 오피스를 전시의 배경으로 삼는다.
이 공간에서 반복적으로 마주치는 물건과 장면을 아트토이 작품으로 풀어낸다.
본 전시는 10인의 아트토이 작가가 참여하여 각기 다른 조형 언어와 접근 방식을 선보인다.
작품들은 일상의 공간 속에 놓이며, 전시가 분리된 관람 대상이 아니라 일상의 흐름 속에서 인식되는 장면으로 작동하는 방식을 보여준다.
전시와 함께 선보이는 오마모리(O-Mamori) 굿즈는 행운과 보호의 의미를 지닌 오브제로, 작품의 서사와 상징을 일상의 공간으로 이어준다.
오마모리를 통해 전시에서의 경험과 작가의 이야기를 개인의 하루 속으로 자연스럽게 가져가게 된다.
Selected Nicks는 아트토이를 통해 일상의 풍경을 다시 인식하고 작품을 발견하는 과정에서 작가와 관람자 사이의 공감이 형성되는 공간을 제안한다.

We spend most of our days moving through familiar spaces and repeating the same routines.
Ordering coffee at a café, opening a laptop, pausing for a while, and moving on—these everyday actions unfold without any remarkable event and gradually fade into the background.
OBJECTS OF THE DAY takes the café and the office, two environments closely connected to contemporary lifestyles, as the setting for the exhibition.
The objects and scenes repeatedly encountered within these spaces are reinterpreted as art toy works.
Bringing together ten art toy artists, the exhibition presents a range of distinctive sculptural languages and artistic approaches.
Placed throughout everyday spaces, the works show how an exhibition can function not as something separated from daily life, but as a series of scenes encountered within its natural flow.
The omamori (O-Mamori) pieces presented alongside the exhibition are objects imbued with the meanings of good fortune
and protection, extending the narratives and symbols of the artworks into everyday spaces.
Through these omamori pieces, the experience of the exhibition and the stories of the artists are carried naturally into each visitor’s day.
Through art toys, Selected Nick’s invites viewers to rediscover the familiar landscapes
of everyday life and proposes a space where empathy between artists and viewers can emerge through the experience of encountering art.
