INTRODUCTION
삶의 어느 지점에서 우리는 다시 ‘어린 왕자’를 떠올린다.
보이지 않는 것의 가치, 어른이 되며 잃어버린 감정의 조각들,
그리고 마음속에 여전히 남아 있는 순수한 시선에 대하여.
강석태 작가는 익숙한 일상과 상상의 경계를 넘나들며
기억 속 인물과 풍경을 자신만의 감정 언어로 재구성한다.
그의 화면 속 인물들은 현실의 무게에서 살짝 비켜나,
조용한 사유와 따뜻한 여운을 남긴다.
이번 전시 《My Little Prince》는 작가가
자신 안의 순수성과 마주하며 만들어낸 감정의 기록이자,
현대인의 내면에 남은 ‘어린 왕자’에 대한 오마주이다.
셀렉티드 닉스는 본 전시를 통해 ‘일상 속에서
예술이 자연스럽게 머무는 공간’이라는 정체성을 이어가며,
누구나 자신만의 별 하나를 떠올릴 수 있는 시간을
선사하고자 한다.

At some point in our lives, we find ourselves returning to The Little Prince—
to the value of what cannot be seen,
to the fragments of feeling we lose as we grow up,
and to the quiet, innocent gaze that still lingers within us.
Artist Seoktae Kang moves freely between the familiar and the imagined,
reconstructing figures and landscapes from memory through his own emotional language.
The characters in his works step slightly aside from the weight of reality,
leaving behind a gentle sense of contemplation and warmth.
This exhibition, 《My Little Prince》, is both a record of the artist’s encounter with his own inner purity
and an homage to the “little prince” that remains within modern individuals.
Through this exhibition, Selected Nicks Gallery continues its identity as
a place where art naturally resides within everyday life—
a space where anyone may pause and recall a star of their own.
