INTRODUCTION
제멋대로 피어난 숲 : 계원예술대학교 순수미술과
누군가의 의도에 따라 규정되지 않은 채, 저마다의 방향과 속도로 자라나는 존재들의 모습에서 출발한 전시〈제멋대로 피어난 숲〉은
자유, 평화, 그리고 쉼이라는 감각을 다섯 명의 신진 작가가 각자의 추상적 회화 언어로 풀어낸다.
김윤재, 임광현, 이윤승, 이희건, 김태훈은 계원예술대학교 미술학과에서 각자의 내면과 감각을 탐구해온 작가들로,
본 전시는 이들이 본격적인 작품 활동을 시작하는 첫 지점이자 자신만의 회화적 언어를 세상에 드러내는 출발의 기록이다.
이들에게 그림을 그리는 행위는 하나의 나무를 심는 일과 같다. 감정과 사유, 무의식의 결은 구체적인 형상을 벗어나 색과 질감, 리듬으로 화면 위에 발화된다.
이 숲에서 자유는 완결된 이상이 아니라 흔들리며 유지되는 상태로, 평화는 완전한 안정이 아닌 불완전함을 전제로 한 잠시의 고요로, 쉼은 멈춤과 관조를 통해 세계와 다시 연결되는 태도로 존재한다.
서로 다른 다섯 개의 추상적 세계는 공간 안에서 스치고, 겹치며, 엉켜들어 기이하고도 조화로운 하나의 숲을 이룬다.
이 숲은 완성된 풍경이 아니라, 이제 막 자라나기 시작한 상태다. 다듬어지지 않기를 선택한 이 첫 시도는 앞으로 각자의 방향으로 뻗어 나갈 작가들의 가능성을 예고한다.

Beginning with beings that grow at their own pace and in their own direction, free from being defined by the intentions of others, The Wildly Blooming Forest presents five emerging artists’
interpretations of freedom, peace, and rest through their distinct languages of abstract painting.
Yunjae Kim, Gwanghyun Lim, Yunseung Lee, Heegun Lee, and Taehoon Kim have each explored their inner worlds
and sensibilities in the Fine Art Department at Kaywon University of Art & Design.
This exhibition marks the first step in their professional artistic journeys and records the moment they begin to reveal their own painterly languages to the world.
For these artists, painting is like planting a tree.
The textures of emotion, thought, and the unconscious move beyond concrete forms and emerge across the canvas as color, texture, and rhythm.
Within this forest, freedom exists not as a completed ideal but as a state sustained through constant movement.
Peace is not perfect stability, but a fleeting stillness that embraces imperfection.
Rest becomes a way of reconnecting with the world through pause and contemplation.
The five distinct abstract worlds brush past one another, overlap, and intertwine within the space, forming a single forest that is both strange and harmonious.
This forest is not a finished landscape. It has only just begun to grow.
Deliberately left untamed, this first attempt reveals the potential of five artists whose practices will continue to branch out in directions of their own.
